Easy day in the markets , $SPY $QQQ $ES_F are still in full on bullrun, with no stopping. We caught a trade in $CELG, 3 attempts in this stock before it actually started running in the 3rd trade which was a massive gainer 🙂

Nice bullish day in $SPY $QQQ $ES_F $IWM after long weekend holiday. A lot of movers and shakers during the day, tried my best to catch’em all. Missed out on a few like $PAY $CHK which was on our morning watchlist given to our traders twitpic.com/bxea6q .  However, we did manage to get a few in $KORS $SINA $EXPE for nice profits.

YOUR NOT MISSING OUT!!!

Since the beginnig of 2013 we are stuck in a wide range in $SPY and $QQQ. $SPY is rangebound between 145- 146.50. Lots of traders are trying to anticipate a break on either side and getting frustrated. As a trader, you have to understand which side has the edge, at present , bulls have the edge in the bigger picture, however, we need a break of 146.50 on volume to have some conviction.

Even a gap down to 144 which is bought which is also the 20ma on SPY is still constructive. Earnings season officially started today, therefore, there would be many more opportunities in the coming days, preserve your capital and trade only when you have an edge.

TRADE REVIEW $GMCR

A nice green day in $SPY  $QQQ $ES_F , still indicating buyers still here and mean business, tomorrow is options expiration am expecting a lot of firworks. Time will tell and tomorrow is apparently the end of the world too. If something actually does happen, I would be a happy person to say that I did what I loved the most i.e. trading 🙂

$GMCR is one stock which I eyed for the whole day, during trading it’s so important to get the direction of stock right , so that even if you get a crappy entry you will still end up green 🙂   . I literally had 3 attempts in this stock but none of them ever got legs to keep going. LIVE AND LEARN.

$VHC was second day play, strong daily chart yesterday as well as today, all that was needed was to time it and well we did time it well 🙂 in our online trading room .

$CLF was a short which was taken for quick 4Rs, small target but the risk wasn’t that big either, as trader all we do is take good risk-reward trades rinse and repeat.

TRADE REVIEW $VRSN


Another flat inside day in $SPY $QQQ $ES_F, we are still digesting the move since Nov 28,2012.  Bulls still seems to be control. Today and yesterday both times it felt like the bears were gonna crush the bulls below the lows of the day, only for the bulls to come in and bring it right back up.

Even though market has gone sideways we are still finding good names to trade intraday in our online trading room.  $VRSN was nice 5R gainer today.

Why I went long $SPY today

Price action in $SPY $QQQ $ES_F is conducive to start long positions, as a result we started building our core positions in  our online trading room  $SPY today between 140.70-141.20 region , stops at 138.

We had a nice 6% profitable core position $SPY  swing in July ,which was documented here https://dchsn6.wordpress.com/2012/08/16/spy-target-1-142-achieved/. The charts below show my analysis for the swing core.

I personally trade by watching price action only, with no fancy indicators as such and with the current dips being bought last few days, it tells me market has a bid underneath it.
